Through our monthly scriptwriting events, we aim build a community for the writers, judges, actors, and audience. We hope to create a space where people can connect, network, and learn from each other.
Part of our overall mission at Filmocracy is to shine a light on the underrepresented voices throughout the film industry. For the Scriptwriter Showdown, we have hosted our competitions in honor of Black History Month and Women’s History Month. We will continue to provide our platform to underrepresented groups and hope to provide them with exposure to the greater film community.
Scriptwriter Showdown on Filmocracy’s virtual platform is dedicated to providing a fun, safe, and harassment-free event for everyone. All attendees, speakers, sponsors, vendors and Festival staff (“participants”) are required to comply with the Filmocracy code of conduct.
By attending the virtual platform, you are agreeing to abide this code of conduct. Anyone found to be violating this code of conduct may be expelled at the discretion of organizers.
