When you purchase a ticket or pass, you will receive an email with a link to Filmocracy.com. Register for an account and login, then click on Events in the menu! Each ticket or pass will provide access to unique and various programs available during the festival!
Once you purchase a ticket or pass you will receive a confirmation email which details what you purchased and how much you spent – like a receipt.
Passholders will receive a second email with a link inviting them to join the Filmocracy viewing platform. Once joined, all films which the passholder has access to will be available in this portal.
“Either the event has not yet started or you don’t have access to this page. In order to gain access, please upgrade to Premium or go to the festival website directly to purchase a ticket.”
It’s possible you did not purchase a ticket, or the ticket was not assigned to the account. Also, please make sure that the email used during the ticket purchase is the same as you used to create your Filmocracy account. If you are unable to see the event after logging in with the correct email address, then the pass was not assigned to your account, in which case please contact us using the chat function on the lower right corner of your screen.
Your ticket/pass cannot be shared with others. However, feel free to watch together on your television or computer!
There are many reasons that can cause film playback to pause or buffer. Is the problem happening with any other film? What browser/device are you using? We suggest restarting your internet modem. Are you still experiencing this problem? The problem is often resolved by waiting for network conditions to improve.
The Festival presents Audience Awards determined by popular vote of the audience. During each virtual film screening you will be given a chance to vote on the virtual platform for your reviews of the films. Please take a moment to tell us what you thought. All winners are announced at the end of the festival.
Some screenings may be restricted to specific regions. You can find out which films have restrictions in the film guide for each specific film or by asking your festival organizer.
1) COMPUTER HDMI CONNECTION: The simplest method is to hard wire an HDMI cord from your computer into the HDMI port on your TV, much like connecting a DVD player to your TV. Many computers/laptops have an HDMI port (outlet), if yours doesn’t have an HDMI port you’ll need an adapter or dongle (Mac Laptops need this adapter). You can purchase an adapter/dongle online or at a store, such as Best Buy or Apple. We added a few links below to online products:
HDMI Cable: https://amzn.to/3lOXgny
APPLE HDMI Adapter: https://amzn.to/3nTCfJZ
2) APPLE TV: use AirPlay to stream or share content from your Apple devices to your Apple TV . Make sure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV in order to stream. For further instructions on how to stream Filmocracy through AirPlay please visit

3) AMAZON FIRESTICK (Fire TV): You will need to download the Airbeam TV app or another mirroring app in order to see your computer screen through your Fire TV. For additional troubleshooting information, please go tohttps://www.airbeam.tv/mirror-your-mac-screen/amazon-fire-tv/ for step by step instructions on how to use the app.
4) CHROMECAST: If you are streaming through Chromecast, you can find our platform by searching Filmocracy.com in your chrome browser on the television. Purchase a Chromecast here: https://store.google.com/us/product/chromecast
5) SMART TV? Simply search in the browser on your TV: Filmocracy.com. If it is your first time entering the platform, first register using your computer (STEP 1), then login to your account using your smart TV.
For films on-demand, you have complete access to the entire program during your watch window.
Live-streamed films, much like watching at a physical movie theater, do not allow pause or rewind!
There is a minor delay between screenings while the next film is loaded. Please check the schedule for showtimes. If a film is scheduled to be playing, please allow it a minute to load.
Yes! All of the Q&As will be recorded and you can see them in the On Demand Theatre under Q&As. Please note, there may be a few filmmakers that were not available for a Q&A session, but this will be noted on their film page.
